Virtual Machine

Software that emulates a device through an image or window of an actual operating system, seamlessly run like any other program. The idea is to use operating systems as applications. Multiple virtual machines can run simultaneously on the same physical computer.

Virtual Private Network (VPN)

Private connection between networks through a virtual dedicated channel. VPNs allow a secure connection over the Internet that prevents third parties from eavesdropping on a user’s activity, making it a preferred method of remote work in corporate environments.

Virtualization

Operation to create a virtual version of a computing environment in an abstract layer of the hardware.
