RTP Validation Operations Flow

The following are the validation operations services that support the secure and effective money transfer process:

1. Real Time Payments obtains information from the Sender's or Recipient's Payment Instrument using the Alias Directory service or by capturing the necessary cardholder information.

2. The Security Core verifies card attributes (CVV, expiration date, and PAN).

   • 2.1 The Security Core validates with the corresponding APIs in the networks.
   • 2.2 The networks respond to the Security Core after validating the attributes.

3. The Inquiry Core verifies card characteristics such as card type (Fast Fund Ready or Push Ready), country, currency, among others.

   • 3.1 The Inquiry Core validates with the corresponding APIs in the networks.
   • 3.2 The networks respond to the Inquiry Core after validating key card characteristics.

4. The Customer Monitoring service checks restrictive lists. This service is optional, and the solution allows it to be turned on or off.

   • 4.1 Customer Monitoring validates restrictive lists with the network.
   • 4.2 The networks respond to Customer Monitoring, providing a score and determining approval or rejection.
